OTO Ledgerlaunch funnels, documented

Methodology

Sources

  1. The marketplaces' own data. LaunchPadJV publishes, for every offer, a sales band (0, 5+, 10+, 50+, 100+, 250+, 500+, 1,000+), a conversion rate, earnings per click and total revenue, and for every product in a funnel the list price, the "regular" price, the commission, visitor count, sales count and revenue. JVZoo publishes, per product and per funnel, sales bands, conversion, EPC, average price and refund rate. We collect these through our affiliate accounts and reproduce them as published, with the capture date. We do not estimate sales.
  2. The sales pages. We fetch every front-end and upgrade page we can reach, record whether it loads (HTTP status, expired domain, TLS failure), and extract the title, headline, the prices shown in the copy, pricing-model language (one-time, monthly, lifetime), and whether a video embed or countdown timer is present. Pages are captured with a date. Quotes are kept short and used only to check claims.
  3. Search data. Google US desktop results, People Also Ask and AI Overview presence for "[product] review" and for category keywords come from DataForSEO, with the query date. Search volumes are Google Ads monthly averages; AI search volumes are DataForSEO's LLM Mentions estimates for Google AI Overviews and ChatGPT.
  4. Affiliate approval status (JVZoo). Whether we hold approval for a funnel, from our JVZoo account. It decides whether a page shows an affiliate link; it does not change the data shown.

Calculations

  • Realized average price = reported revenue for a product ÷ its reported sales count. Order bumps and coupons make this differ from list.
  • Take rate = sales of an upgrade plus its downsell ÷ front-end buyers (standard plus special variants).
  • Average spend per buyer = funnel revenue ÷ front-end buyers.
  • Full-price path = front end plus every OTO at list, no downsells. Cheapest path = front end plus every downsell where one exists.
  • Funnel revenue = sum of reported revenue across all products of an offer.
  • Downsell detection. LaunchPadJV marks most downsells explicitly; where it does not, we classify an item as a downsell when its name says so ("DS", "downsell", "Lite") and attach it to the preceding OTO.
  • Vendor figures are sums and medians across the vendor's launches in the ledger, not the marketplace's lifetime totals.

What we do not do

We do not rate products, give stars, sell bonuses, run timers or accept payment from vendors. We do not use review or rating markup. We do not test every product; where we have used one, the page says so. We do not reproduce sales copy beyond the fragments needed for a claims check. We do not publish a written verdict on a product we have not looked at; pages without one say so and stay out of search engines.

Coverage and exclusions

LaunchPadJV: offer IDs 1 to 600 scanned; offers that are tests, duplicates or missing a product are excluded. JVZoo: the affiliate listing scanned in full, funnels in software, marketing, training and PLR categories kept when they have 100+ reported sales or we have requested approval. Forex, trading, crypto, gambling and health offers are excluded on both marketplaces.

Updates and corrections

Marketplace data is refreshed weekly and after launch windows close. Dead-page checks run weekly. Each page shows the capture dates it relies on. Corrections: contact us and we will fix the record and note the change on the page.
